Where's the beef?
One of the downsides of freelancing is collecting a great portfolio. It's a tricky one. My problem is that most of the projects I work on are for other advertising agencies and design houses, and the work is for THEIR clients, and it belongs in THEIR portfolio – along with any awards it may have won. That's why the picture frame above looks like a discarded prop from The Thomas Crown Affair remake.

In some cases the client may have reservations about their account being serviced by temporary staff. In reality it has always been the case; freelancers are a necessary part of the work. I hope to have built up a very close working relationship not only with the advertising agency but also familiarised myself with their particular methods and ultimately the customers individual quirks. Think of me as temporary staff when needed, instead of Joe Freelancer.
